"Firefighters say they want to brave the heat, the debris-littered roads,
the poisonous cottonmouth snakes and fire ants and travel into pockets of
Louisiana where many people have yet to receive emergency aid.
"But as specific orders began arriving to the firefighters in Atlanta, a
team of 50 Monday morning quickly was ushered onto a flight headed for
Louisiana. The crew's first assignment: to stand beside President Bush as
he tours devastated areas."

Please don't tell me you said that with a straight face.
Where the ***** is President Moron going to go that would require something
of that nature?

They are touring a disaster area.

From a safe distance, rest assured. That *NOT* where firefighters are
needed, nor where they do their work.

I guess you haven't decided to try facts or reason yet.

Really, you clueless *****? Your apologetics knows no bounds.
First, is the article that is linked to with all the firefighters cooling
their heels in Atlanta. It's full of facts;
Second, the FFs being pulled away from doing 'nothing' so that they can
babysit Bush 2, the Boy King, while he gets his picture taken. That is a
*FACT* that you're trying to spin. Try not to get too dizzy when you make up
your next line of ***** about how the President might get close to a
rescue in progress;
Third, and this previously posted offer is personally extended to you:
"Furthermore: any of you second-rate bitches that doubt what is being
discussed, you just bring your sorry asses to [south] Austin and I'll
introduce you around to the guys that went."
I'l give you enough *FACTS* to choke a fucking horse....or, in your case, a
horse's *****.

Keep waiting. It'll happen.
Better yet, the dumb ***** will go onto the stage in a FEMA outfit, a
big "Mission Acomplished" banner behind him, and declare an end to
major rescue operations.. This dispite the fact that most of the city

If you wanted them to have food and water, why didn't your precious
governor let the Red Cross deliver it?

You really are a shitty dancer, Fred. Now you're changing the
criteria.

I didn't bring up the point about food and water.

In this case, why does your president need a babysitter batallion
comprised of firefighters? Why won't your president allow the
firefighters to rescue people and take them water?

I'm sure he is allowing FEMA to do its job of assigning firefighters to
their duties. Unfortunately, people like you seem to get a kick out of
carping about every little thing.

Answer your own ***** questions, *****.

What happened with the Red Cross is pretty simple. They're a volunteer,
civilian organization and it was dangerous in the city. With flood waters
rising, we could easily have ended up with more people to rescue. They
were asked to set up outside and receive people we *thought we'd get help
in evacuating.
Interesting isn't it that the right wingers tell us the city was
"impassible" for the United States Federal Government in all its might but
demand a bunch of volunteers can and should have gone in.
Or have they dropped the "impassible" spin yet? Maybe they noticed that
the feds got in *after 80% of the city was flooded but couldn't get in
*before the flooding as the city was "impassible."

We're actually home. Our parish came out pretty good. It's our neighbors
to the East who are so totally devastated. In fact, we're the last "good"

Well, we normally don't "want to brave the heat, the debris-littered roads,

The only thing more insane than a (paid) firefighter who runs into burning

But given a choice between standing on a fire ant hole surrounded by

comfortable location.
