O.T. Attempted humor What is the tensile strength of 1/4" twisted steel cable? |
I think just because I am a little larger than the largest low land
Gorilla ( I once out yelled and out postured a tow truck driver. He
finally fled in terror after he challenged me to touch his truck, I
marked it with my scent in the traditional way and he fled. Screaming
insults all of the way. Technically don't I now own his truck?
But I digress. The lifeguard at the YMCA doesn't want me to hang onto
the lane dividers because he thinks I will break them. Can't you lift
a full sized vehicle with 1/4 cable?

the time did not agree, and forced me to call the towing company and

About 6000-8500 lbs depending on number of strands and how many wires
make up those strands (and if it is stainless, galvanized, ect.). The
anchors will probably break way before the cable does.
