Here's a rather striking problem I am facing: I feel these atheist-hating
jerks out here have a moral obligation to put a stop to their decidedly
'Un-Christian' behavior. Or am I to take it that their vile behavior is
what constitutes 'authentic' Christian behavior these days? These
self-professed 'Christians' need speak out forcibly against those who would
have them ***** all over the directives the Jesus of the New Testament
espoused with so much passion and vigor in their sacred 'scripture'. These
people are gaining nothing in all this. Only those at the 'top' are. And
look what they're 'losing' -- the 'soul' and (*once*) good name of the
county, for one.
Wisconsin government officials who have done nothing to date to put a
stop to the obscenity being perpetrated out here in the name of 'God' have a
responsibility to help bring it to an end.
This is a 'Wisconsin problem' that needs to be corrected by the elected
officials the people of this state elected to help see to the welfare and
well-being of its constituents. Having members of the freethinking community
'cover' for the swine out here and relieve them of any tinges of guilt they
*might* feel will not 'solve' this 'problem'. It would only constitute a
'sweeping under the rug' of this whole profoundly ugly affair.
So I am *most* appreciative, Michael. But it's going to take virtuous
Wisconsinites just *loaded* with honesty, integrity, and the will to do good
things for the citizens of the County of Marinette to rectify this
disgusting situation. If not, well then what *other* vile acts born of
atheist-hating can those Christian extremists who've been looking on with
such glee get away with elsewhere down the road?

Mostly: yes, it is.
And always has been!
Folks think that the, (say), 1950s were the heyday of respectable
Xtian paradise in the Western world, ignoring the wife-beating, the
child-raping, the subjection of blacks, the decimation of the Native
populations, the priestly stand over racket, the stolen children, the
adoption debacle, the witch-hunt of supposed communists, (indeed: the
witch-hunt of supposed witches!), the hounding of homosexuals, etc ad
infinitum...
I'm sure that anyone with a basic education and an IQ of more than 10
could come up with more!

Not belonging to that category, I realize my tight limitations in that
area, or at least *they* make me realize them.
They have (somewhat rightly) ignored my several attempts at
intervention, so I my hands are tied, in a manner of speaking.
I do what I can, and the proposed offer is the best I can think of, at
the moment.
(Although I totally understand if you are reticent to take advantage
of it, through modesty, apprehension, and so-on)
