Much to digest in this interview but what stood out for me was the AofC's
response to "Where was God that day?" (possibly not a verbatim quote) to
which the answer seemed to be: God perhaps influenced one distraut child
comfort another but he couldn't stop the killing because he gave us free
will. So, if we do bad it's because of free will, if we do good it's because
God has touched us. What a cop out!** If you do choose to believe in a god
would you pick one so weak that it couldn't stop killing but could persuade
scared children to comfort each other (which is a pretty standard reaction,
if you ask me)?
** This seems a great management trick. Project succeeds - *I* did that.
Project fails - nothing to do with me, squire. But on second thoughts, I
wonder how long it would take before I got found out?

Apparently, at least 2000 years.
Yup, I was raised Southern Baptist. If I did well, "praise God!"
If I screwed up, it was *my fault.
