Object: OT: Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans - ACK!
Went with the kid to our local gourmet cheese shop today. Along with the cheese,
they also sell gourmet sauces, spices, oils, breads and candy. One of the
things they sell are Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans which Harry Potter fans
will be aquainted with. They contain several "normal" flavored jelly beans
(green apple, cherry, lemon, grape, etc.), as well as lovely choices such as
vomit, spinach, soap, grass, dirt, ear wax and earthworm. And guess what? They
REALLY do taste like the description.
Out of curiousity, I tried the spinach one. BLECH! It really tasted like
spinach! I then went for what I thought was a green apple and it was grass!
Gross! No more jelly beans for me today.
My daughter plans on giving her dad the vomit ones when he gets home from work
this evening <snicker>

Thankfully though, according to my husband, the vomit one actually tasted like
tequila ;)

Hmm, IME vomit was usually lemonade and vodka flavored.
One time it was chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream and corn whiskey
flavored. Smelled like it to, as it shot out my nose as I ran to the

Hmm, IME vomit was usually lemonade and vodka flavored.

Well yeah, while earning my wings as a yoot. I have gone for the style
points and had Tang/store brand vodka screwdrivers... To the inevitable
result. Or better yet, a bottle of 151 in one hand and a 2 liter bottle
of Hawaiian Punch in the other. The horror!

What a birthday (30) that was, and the week that followed wasn't a lot
of fun either.

My thirtieth had the misfortune of a open bar equipped with a bartender.
I was on a Manhattan kick at the time. It seems that the bartender took a
liking to the same girl I was working on. Well the Manhattans soon were
the better part of those 16oz disposible party cups. I may have thrown
up, I am not real clear on that. Neither of us got the girl.

Now I only have the desire to drink a few times a year.
