Yeah, poor babies, you didn't get the "perp walk" and you don't get a
disheveled and disgruntled mug shot for your publicity campaign.

I don't give a rat's ***** about a perp walk or a sad-faced mug shot, I
just want the ***** out of my government.

Maybe you should concentrate on getting him de-elected in 2006 instead
of trying to have him convicted of something that wasn't a crime.

No, silly, but you could spend two seconds thinking and realize that you
could contribute time or money to a campaign to defeat him if you were
really serious about not wanting him around. I suppose that's too
democratic (small d) for your tastes?

Why should the wealthy and powerful get special treatment?
If a poor person, especially someone black, were facing
arrest and walked into a police station voluntarily, would
they be greeted, photographed and fingerprinted without
handcuffs? More likely, they'd be slammed against the
desk and dragged in back.
The police should have broken down the door of Delay's home
and dragged him out in handcuffs in front of his family and
the media, crying his eyes out.
And when I say handcuffed, I mean hands cuffed behind his
back and hands held over his head.

In Sugar Land?
Because the arresting cops would be out of a job in hours...along with
their immediate superiors. If DeLay wasn't feeling particularly vindictive.
Sugar Land, Texas is the home of the Noveau Riche of the greater Houston
area. DeLay is their star baby for a number of reasons, mainly involving
making sure government regulation doesn't apply to their businesses or
their obscene "homes". Were he to go down, they could potentially have to
start complying with the same laws everyone else does, and that would be
*very* expensive.
Hell, man - they might never be able to rip out Gulf wetlands to put in a

He looks like he's excited about the prospect of getting assraped
in prison.

He isn't going to prison because the charge is bogus, leveled by a
polital hack prosecuter. He had more than enough hard money
contributions to pay for his hard money expenses. That is the
bottom line. Klaus

Of course, what you actually mean is, "He is too powerful, peddles
too much influence, and simple concepts like justice no longer apply
to him."

No, that's what *YOU* mean, since you're apparantly all in favor of
convicting him of something that wasn't a crime.

Yes, Fred. Please, please, give us a long missive about what an angel
Tom "The Exterminator" De Lay is. Because, of course, no Houstonian
would have any idea.

My, that's a pretty strawman you've got there, and all ready for
Halloween.

My, that's a pretty lake of denial you're drowning in.
As usual.
The only question being is are you fooling yourself, or just striking out
completely?

I'm sure Tom "The Hammer" DeLay

Great way to convince everyone The Exterminator is innocent, Fred.
Don't bother applying for Rove's job. In additional to everything else,
you *really* suck at this.
