What Part of "Bush Lied" Don't You Understand?
The part about how he used the Time Machine to convince all these
Democrats:
"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with
the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including,
if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to
respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its
weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by Senators Carl Levin, Tom
Daschle, John Kerry, and others. Oct. 9, 1998.
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass
destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region
and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA. Dec. 16, 1998.
"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a
great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will
use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies
is the greatest security threat we face."
Madeline Albright, Clinton's Secretary of State. Feb 18, 1998.
"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass
destruction and palaces for his cronies."
Madeline Albright. Nov. 10, 1999.
"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten
times since 1983."
Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser. Feb,18, 1998.
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to
develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line."
President Bill Clinton. Feb. 4, 1998.
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is
clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's
weapons of mass destruction program."
President Bill Clinton. Feb. 17, 1998.

All those quotes are true. They all use forebarance, wisdom, and
scrutiny. Most are postulates about treating the motive of Iraq
with suspicion and the possibility of limited military responses.
Limited responses never put an end to anything.
It ended Iraq's WMDs.
Not one of them said "Invade Iraq, they have weapons" THEY did not
lead to the overpriced quagmire Bush has disgraced the country

Nor did they put an end to the situation.
It ended Iraq's WMDs.
Furthermore it didn't cost the US its security, world position, and a

Neither has the invasion and subsequent creation of the Democratic

The Shiites control the balance of the oil, have closer allies and are a

the WMDs had been dismantled, Bush didn't believe him.
There were significant flaws in that evidence, not least of which was
the fact that inspectors were not present when the material was
destroyed. That in itself was a violation of the UN resolution.
Apparently, he
didn't believe the intelligence reports saying that Iraq did not have
any WMDs, or any viable program to develop new ones, either.
The *consensus* of the Intelligence Community was that Iraq *did* have
WMD and viable programs to manufacture WMD. Indeed, there were
dissenting opinions, but those were *not* the majority opinion before
the war.
And of course we *did* find warehouses full of precursor chemicals, and
usable CBW artillery shells, and even some leftovers from the stuff that
he supposedly destroyed.
He DID
make predictions about 'mushroom clouds' over American cities if we
didn't go to war.
That was a hypothetical case, if I recall correctly.
So now, we are all stuck with the war he so
desperately wanted.
So now you're trying desperately to pretend that you can just walk away
from it and the consequences of that act won't be on your hands.

You mean this Committee? This report?:
(from Wikipedia)
"The Senate Report on Iraqi WMD Intelligence (formally, the "Report of the
Select Committee on Intelligence on the U.S. Intelligence Community's
Prewar Intelligence Assessments on Iraq") was the report by the United
States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence concerning the U.S.
intelligence community's assessments of Iraq during the time leading up to
the 2003 U.S. invasion. The report, which was released on July 9, 2004,
identified numerous failures in the intelligence-gathering and -analysis
process. The report found that these failures led to the creation of
inaccurate materials that misled both government policy makers and the
American public.
"The Committee's Republican majority and Democratic minority agreed on the
report's major conclusions and unanimously endorsed its findings. They
disagreed, though, on the impact that statements on Iraq by senior members
of the Bush administration had on the intelligence process. A second phase
of the investigation, which was to have addressed the way senior
policymakers used the intelligence, has not yet been completed.
In summary, the Committee found that pre-war intelligence was grossly
inaccurate. The second phase of the investigation, looking at how the
Administration used the faulty intel to sell the war to Congress and the
populace, was stone-walled by the Republicans who controlled the
committee. Now that the Democrats are in power, we may see some actual

It is painfully obvious that Bush decided to go to war first, then went
fishing for the 'evidence' he needed to make it look like an imperative.
Now that his house of cards is collapsing, he can look forward to being
remembered in the history books as the most disasterous President in
history. In fact, I have heard one political commentator observe that GW
Bush seems bent on making Warren G. Harding's Administration look good by
