The response to my complaint about racial abuse from a Skandia
employee is like a set text for institutional racism

To spare his blushes we will just call him HG. Not that he sounds like
a man much troubled by embarrassment. For HG is one of those angry
white men, emboldened by the rhetoric emerging from the Home Office
and enraged by the very existence of non-white people in this country.
I know this because he told me in response to a column I wrote on
August 11 about racial attitudes to war in America. His email arrived
on August 13, which I've copied here verbatim.
