Object: OT: Curses! Foiled again!
The little gnomes of probate are having a big laugh at my expense. I'm
stuck here for another month. I shoulda known better. Back to the holding
pattern.
Sigh. I don't *WANNA* be here in August. The big bad storm'll eat me!

I will to saturate my yard and surroundings with water if I decide to
light some home-grade fireworks. Or if the neighbors do. Sparklers are
legal here, you should see the stuff that's labeled "sparklers". Heh
Heh :)

I've got some neighbors across the street from me that are rather fond of
fireworks. Unfortunately, I keep finding them on front lawn the
following
morning. I wish someone would hurry up and buy their house and get them
the
heck out of here :P

I'd rather have the fireworks. Folks here like to fire their guns. It's
like an Afgani wedding every holiday.

D'oh!! Nope, that wouldn't fly in my neighborhood. The cops be on their
***** like white on rice ;)
Maybe I'll start requesting the

days off and go camping in the desert..

BTW: Here's wishing you a rainy Fourth, Mark! <g>

Same back at ya :)

We keep getting rain, much of the 3rd and so far a couple of times this
morning. So I guess it is working, at least for north east Kansas, anyway.

You know, for a gun nut state, we don't seem to have that problem. Then
again, people around here grow up around guns and generally know better. I
do remember that being a serious concern in LA. Common wisdom being *never
be outside midnight on New Years.

It's been *quite damp with more on the way today.

SSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Don't let Robyn hear you! She'll have the entire ng doing the Time Warp
all weekend long!

LOL! So sorry, but I was too busy enjoying the complete and utter solitude
of my weekend. George took the witchling down to South Jersey to spend the
weekend with some friends. I needed a "break" and declined joining them.
Cleaned house and worked on some painting projects. Aaaaaaaaaaah ;)

Oh, no, not this year. _This_ year, it's the East Coast's turn!

And I was hoping it was Texas' turn. After the snotty way they acted
after Katrina, they need a couple of Cat 5s up the ship channel.

What big bad storm? I'm going to be in Ocho Rios (Jamaica) the first week
of August. Is there something I need to know? Like cancel my plans?

Nothing in specific, more a general...

Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
