Germany's falling birthrate, like that in much of Western Europe, is
entering its second generation.

Good news. A falling birth rate in a western country is a high value
fall because of the high per capita consumption of resources; eg an
Australian consumes 30 times as much as someone on the Indian sub
continent. Global population growth is going to slow (and has already)
and will reverse into negative this century driven by depletion or
overuse of soil, water and energy. Population is adjusted by births
and deaths. The more humane way to meet the inevitability of global
population decline is voluntarily through births. The alternative is
to let nature take her sledge hammer.
Wanted - more Italys, Germanys, Spains and Japans.

At the moment the global population is doubling about every 50 years.
This will slow down for obvious reasons. I thought what if the
abnormal population explosion of the fossil fuel era had always been
with us from the start. I worked back from 1975 because 4 billion is
an easy number to work with.
In this what if hypothetical a god created 2 people in 425.
425 2
475 4
525 8
575 16
625 32

1225 131,072
1275 262,144
1325 524,288
1375 1,048,576
1425 2,097,152
1475 4,194,304
1525 8,388,608

1875 1,073,741,824
1925 2,147,483,648
1975 4,294,967,296
The last 50 years very nearly matches historical records.
