The Observer
The politician looked sincere as he spoke in the New Hampshire town of
Merrimack last week. He talked of jobs and growth. Later he stopped at
a sweet shop outside town and sprinkled peanut shavings on the
chocolate truffles.
This was no Democratic hopeful taking his message the streets. It was
President George Bush himself. As the Democrats scrap to find their
candidate for the White House, Bush has hit the Republican campaign
trail.
