OT: George Best Dead. |
Obit:
A waiter walks into the presidential suite in the best hotel in town.
He finds George naked on the bed, covered by two young women.
There's thousands of 50 pound notes scattered on the floor and over
the bed.
And a 50 empty bottles of Bollenger.
"George," says the waiter, "why have you wasted your life".

George is dead,
but I am sure his life was no waist
As I will always remember the way he played football

Quite. His life may have been shortened but by heck didn't he live it.
Some of our American friends may remember that many years ago there was
an attempt to start up a serious soccer league in the US - the NASL I
believe. George Best was one of the star players but I haven't a clue
which team he played for. The NASL was the only place that the two
greats, Pelee and Best actually played against one another.
Arguably Best was as talented as the Brazilian star but because he was
born in Northern Ireland, he never came to much international
attention.

I'm sorry he's gone,
but I enjoyed him a lot when he still played football.
He lived up to his last name then.
So I hardly think his life was wasted
300.000 die every day, that I do not know.
George Best I won't forget.
