So, 18 months down the road my garlic plant has finally grown a
flower.
Just thought I'd tell you.

Were you aiming for flowers? People often remove
the proto-flowers so that the bulb will grow
bigger.

I didn't know that! But since I've never grown a garlic flower before
I think I'll let this one ride just to see how it turns out.

You waited 18 months for garlic to grow? How did you avoid starvation?
One can't eat without garlic! If I'd known you were that hard up, I'd
have sent you some fresh California grown garlic, straigh from Gilroy.

Erm, given my then girth, this wasn't a problem. And of course now I'm
svelt, pale, and interesting (for a given value of "interesting, pale
and svelt").

One can't eat without garlic!

It's true!

If I'd known you were that hard up, I'd
have sent you some fresh California grown garlic, straight from Gilroy.

It's not so much benig hard up, but the pleasure of not seeing a plant
die horribly under my tender ministrations. Mind you, my chilli plants
were much faster and rather tasty.
And that said, I have an unholy plan to for an unnatural mating
between the garlic and the chilli....

Would the result be a chilic or a garlli?
