Washington will this week urge the international community to offer
fresh financial and moral backing for the reconstruction of Iraq, as
the United States is forced to spend extra cash on shoring up
security.
President George Bush's Deputy Secretary of State, Richard Armitage,
will fly to Tokyo to call on delegates to an international 'Iraq
reconstruction conference' to put their hands in their pockets.
