tour guide = un guide touristique (ou une guide touristique)
"docent" is not a french word. it's an English word meaning an amateur expert
{on whatever} who volunteers his time to explain {whatever} to tourists. From
AHD: A teacher or lecturer at some universities who is not a regular faculty
member.
A lecturer or tour guide in a museum or cathedral.
