I said I don't support the idea; however, if my state recognizes gay
marriage than I will accept it. I would not go out and act to deny
them. Do you understand the difference adam? I doubt it.

It's just like the issue on gun control. There are many who don't
think private citizens should own a handgun. It's an argument that has
been argued in the USSC. The USSC does not dictate to the states, what
the gun control laws should be. Instead, the states decide. Example:
Delaware, you are not allowed to own a fully automatic rifle. Go across
the border into PA and you can.

But my point is, if someone doesn't agree with a citizen owning a
private firearm, that's just their opinion. It's not the same as that
person wanting to deny them their rights. Instead, they recognize
their right to own a firearm and they just speak out against it.

I do not support the idea of gay marriage; however, I will not go out
of my way to stop my state from allowing it. I do believe in a
compramise and believe a civil union is a good idea. It's the same
thing as marriage except it doesn't involve the "religious" ceremony.
It's a contract, the persons have the same benefits as a married
couple. I would like to see marriage protected for those, like myself,
who believe in God and God being the center of that foundation.
