Back in Rotherham, my constituency, last Friday, I open my local weekly
paper, the Rotherham Advertiser, and a Christine Myers writes: "Does
Rotherham MP Denis MacShane have the legal or politically correct right
to refer to the BNP as anti-Jewish ... let us not forget the ... fact
that Jews of all the world declared war on Germany."
Ms Myers' letter is in response to remarks I made to the effect that
the BNP were anti-Jewish as well as racist and anti-European. I thought
I was simply stating a commonly agreed truth.
