Hehehe!!! Three of my favorite cartoons of all time.

My newest favorite is "Gary the Rat" ;)

I love GtR. Really great lines in that show.

LOL - I heartily agree ;)

The only thing that annoys

me is that humorless running gag about the guy with the cat who wants to
kill Gary. It's like they decided there wasn't enough pie-face humor in
the show, so they threw him in.

Yes, what the devil is up with that?!? I didn't see the first episode and
thought perhaps he was explained there. And what's with the Cupid outfit?

In the first episode, he was the superintendent of Gary's apartment. A
neighbor called him complaining about a rat in the building, and he set
out to kill Gary but was unsuccessful in several unfunny ways. He then
went crazy and is now on a quest to kill Gary. It's without-a-doubt the
least funny part of a funny show.

I took a cruise through the Net and found out exactly what you wrote above. I
agree that it is the least funny part of the show. And his relationship with
Boots just spooks me ;)

Gary's boss and the cheese delivery boy who can't quite grasp that
Gary's not a dog are my favorites.

LOL, I agree. His boss is a hoot :)

"Stripperella" is my other new favorite. It's as good a superhero spoof
as "The Tick", but it doesn't shy away from adult humor. My favorite
character so far is "Cheapo, the discount supervillain", who's crimes
mostly involve stealing the change from fountains.

I haven't watched that one yet - and not because of the subject matter. If I'm
going to get up at the crack of dawn in the morning and go walking, I have to
get in bed by 11:00 :)

Try to tape it if you can. It's a funny show. Only complaint is they're
already showing reruns, and they've only shown 4 or 5 episodes.

Same with Gary. I've already seen the one they're showing tonight.

And the less that can be said about the "New Ren and Stimpy", the
better.

Agreed - I watched it once and was totally appalled ;)

I met a couple of the R&S writers a few years ago. They took turns with
"I wrote that one" when Shelly recounted her favorite old episodes. I
noticed that their names aren't in the credits of the new show.

Uuug, I won't watch it again. Really disgusting cartoons disturb me for some
reason. I'm still traumatized from seeing "The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat"
when I was 15. My parents took me....."Well, it was about cats, so we thought
it was alright". <Shudder> ;)

I just want "Space Madness" on tape. "Can he resist the sniny,
candy-like bitton?" has become a common phrase around here.

LOL! Mine and my husband's is "What IS it, man?!?" (Can't remember the episode)
and "Is it stinky?", which is from the episode when they've crashed on the alien
planet and Stimpy has just cooked a giant space cabbage ;)

Sadly, yes. I didn't even know it existed until it was cancelled. I'm
actually surprised it made it's way to Mick, anyway, since Jhonen Vasquez's
previous work ("Johnny The Homicidal Maniac" and "Squee") was far from
children's literature :)
