I wonder what Ashcroft really has. Maybe he got aids from Rick Perry.
In any event I expect that ashcroft will claim that god miraculously
guided his treatment.

Gallstone pancreatitis is a potentially lethal disease. If it really is
"severe", he will be spending several months in the hospital, and could
very well die.
The pancreas produces very potent digestive enzymes. When the pancreas is
inflamed, these enzymes leak out into the general circulation, and your
body begins to digest itself from the inside out. Imagine a whole-body
chemical burn, but on the inside, rather than on the skin. It is
extremely difficult to treat. There are several tests that can be done
early on that predict how severe the disease will be.

As an aside to that, I'd just like to observe that if he does die I
hope to see no post mortem canonisations. It he was a git while alive,
becoming dead doesn't change that, IMO.

While Ashcroft is without question one of the most worthless and evil lumps of
protoplasm on the face of the planet, I cannot get any pleasure from his
suffering nor can I encourage others to do so.
I do sincerely hope that he will be free of pain sometime soon...one way or the

again. He should go to his little retirement dacha in the Ozarks.

I hope he suffers like a dog, and begs them to kill him in the end.
This guy and some of his fellow Christowhackos have been working to
limit the availability of marijuana and opiates for the treatment of
millions of people in chronic pain and dying of terminal illnesses. He
has also worked to overthrow Oregon's assisted suicide law, and like
all fundies, is an adamant opponent of an intelligent and civilized
euthanasia law. I hope he gets a real solid dose of his own medicine,
first by being denied adequate pain relief, and finally being denied an
easy death when the torture becomes so severe he begs the doctors to
kill him.
It's not that I delight in someone else's torture, even a rat like
Ashcroft, but that anyone this willfully ignorant and callous can often
only be changed by this kind of education. He needs to experience first
hand the results of his own policies. Of course, Ashcroft will not have
to suffer like most sick and dying patients do, and if it reaches the
point he can't take it any more, I'm sure a comfortable exit will be
arranged for him, unlike most terminal patients who generally get to
die in agony for the glory of Jebus. Maybe then he'll have a little
more sympathy for his victims.

actually, it really isn't all that big a problem. He'll have an ERCP,
move the stone and he'll recover.

He'll be closely watched for electrolyte and calcium imbalance,
they'll be corrected, antibiotics will take care of the infection
risk.

But he won't feel too good for a while.

I assume he's exhausted the Prayer route, then...

"God" said; "No." Asscrack finds that unacceptable.

US Attorney General John Ashcroft is in intensive care undergoing
treatment for problems with his pancreas.
The 61-year-old former Missouri senator has a severe case of gallstone
pancreatitis, his chief spokesman said.

Mr Ashcroft had to cancel an engagement on Thursday due to what he
thought was a stomach bug, but a White House doctor sent him to
hospital.

He is being treated with antibiotics and is expected to spend several
days in hospital.

There are no theists in hospitals.

I heard he was having a shrub removed from the extreme right side of his
