Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
State police have charged a 15-year-old Latrobe girl with child
pornography for taking photos of herself and posting them on the Internet.
Police said the girl, whose identity they withheld, photographed herself
in various states of undress and performing a variety of sexual acts. She
then sent the photos to people she met in chat rooms.
A police report did not say how police learned about the girl. They found
dozens of pictures of her on her computer.
She has been charged with sexual abuse of children, possession of child
pornography and dissemination of child pornography.
Police said they are trying to identify all the people who receive photos
from the girl.

Oh come on, that's ridiculous. My one and only objection to child
pornography and pedophilia is that adults, who are experienced in the
ways of sex, can easily take advantage of children, who are not.
But if *she* is doing it to *herself*, how in the living hell can that
be child molestation?! More to the point, if the law were really
concerned about protecting children, how is sending them to jail going
to help them out? I'll tell you, the sheer stupidity of the American
population these days is truly staggering.

Dunno. Looks like a real newspaper web site to me.
Our local free street paper ran an article a while back about a mother who
took nude photos of her (boy, I think) for her college art class and the
Quicky Photo Place turned her in. Because there was one hugging the
family dog while the kid was nude, it almost got _really_ ugly.
Just part of the fun of living in the U.S.
