different sides in the politics of software as well.
Wishful thinking to make too much of this, I believe. The DMCA, which
makes a linux user watching a DVD he's purchased a federal criminal, was a
unanimous vote in the Senate if I remember correctly. Paul Wellstone, the
sainted liberal icon, got considerable Hollywood money. And I would be
surprised if Microsoft lobbyists only offer "technical advice" to
Republicans. Fritz Hollings has been a Senator in which party?

Heh. Yeah, probably the most appropriate thought in more than one way. I
cring whenever I hear that a congressman is taking an interest in
technology.
