This is very reminiscent of the Salem witch hunts: Anyone who
defends someone accused of being a witch must be a witch.
Then again, Shrub is the Texas governor who halved the money
allotted to defence lawyers in capital murder cases on the
argument that the state shouldn't waste money protecting
murderers.
"Innocent until proven guilty" is such a quaint notion.
