OT. Left wing has been taken over by the nut faction. |

A Republican candidate for this area’s congressional seat said
Wednesday that the U.S. government was complicit in the Sept. 11,
2001, terrorist attacks.
Lol.
Peas in a pod.
A politician is a politican.
Left or right.
No honor or honesty whatsoever.
The jerks will claim anything if they think it will get them elected.
Laugh or cry.
Your choice.
All the bastards are nuts and lying ***** jerk offs.
They're gonna get us all killed.
Hang in there with the "Party" though people...they really care about
you.
We know that's true because they would never lie to you.
Right.
Whatever.

It's not about parties. You're playing their game.
Some people are corrupt. They seek money & power through
politics. Pretending it's about parties takes some (most/all) of
their blame and spreads it to everybody.
Personal responsibility is where it's at, and where
"atheist@home" constantly fails.
Getting rid of parties or getting new parties wouldn't solve
anything. All the corrupt people would still be there.
There is a solution, but it involves personal responsibility,
for both the voters and the politicians.
Vote. It sounds simple, but as many as 40% of the population
never even register to vote. And, yes, getting up and voting
in every election means accepting that you're often going to
have to compromise. That, often it's going to be a case where
you're choosing between the lesser of two evils.
Well, grow up and accept reality! The only person on earth
who holds your exact position on every issue is you. Most
other people are going to be pretty far away from you. Get
over it.
Even more difficult than growing up & accepting that most
people are going to think differently than you: Prioritize!
Simple rule: If it wasn't a big issue for you a year before
the election, it shouldn't be a big issue for you now.
Campaigns INVENT issues. If the latest headlines are
weighing heavy on your vote, you're doing EXACTLY what
the campaigns want. You're following their lead, jumping
through their hoops on their command.
When setting priorities, think "Long Term." If you don't
know how to do that then think of the things that are
important to you now, and will remain important to you
for a long time. If you have children, for example, education
and healthcare will remain concerns for many years.
Another way of setting long-term goals for the politically
impaired would be to sit down and determine what you
must keep in order to survive. Take nothing for granted.
Even if you're absolutely convinced that your employer
views you as indispensable, if losing that job would sink
you then you need to consider employment as a priority
when you vote.
Another important (though almost always ignored) key
to selecting good priorities is to limit them to what you
see benefiting yourself, rather than harming others.
You may be against abortion, for example, but you don't
need a law to stop you from having one. So ending
abortion isn't a very good priority, because it doesn't
benefit you in the least, and isn't even about you. It's
about other people. And if you're going to vote that
way then what you're literally doing is leaving it to other
people to protect your best interests & the interest of
your family. Another way of putting it: You need
everybody else to reject your priorities, or nobody will
be voting to preserve & protect your family's future.
Start with yourself, if you want change.

Oh, he explained that. He said the left and right were just as bad as each
other, so you can blame the left for anything somebody on the right does.
Didn't atheist@home complain recently that the Democrats were out of touch
with ordinary Americans? If ordinary Americans are that warped with their
thinking, I should fucking well hope that they are.

Negative.
They all lie and we don't always know who is really to blame for most
things.
Back when I didn't pay too much attention to politics I heard a couple
of Democrats complaining about Reagan screwing up the airlines by
deregulating them.
That does sound like something a Republican would do so I believed it.
Several years later I saw Jimmy Carter during an interview saying that
one of the things he did that he was most proud of was deregulating
the airlines.
Democrats blame Republicans for something they screw up and
Republicans blame Democrats when they do it.
There are still Democrats who honestly believe their party fought for
civil rights legislation during the sixties when in fact it was
Republicans who had to fight tooth and nail for it.
It was the much hated Nixon who demanded that federal agencies and
people doing business with the government abide by civil rights laws
that had been enacted years earlier.
Myths and lies.
Didn't atheist@home complain recently that the Democrats were out of touch

Ah but they are.
The Democrats have their problems and the Republicans do as well.
At this point Republicans seem to be doing what they always rail
against Democrats for and thats spending money they don't have.
I don't like or respect either party but Libertarians seem to be a bit
too wacky for me.
Its all b.s and we pay the price for it.

So you were so stunned by the shocking revelation that politicians take
credit for what others do, and blame things for which they are
responsible upon others, that you're now still bitter about it, years
later.
Sheeesh, get a clue, you half-assed little ***** ...

Translation: The Repblicans control all three branches
of the U.S. government, but we can't blame then for
their job performance.

You mean banking, right? The crisis that followed Reagan's
deregulation efforts in banking cost $1,500.00 for every
man, woman & child in America at the time.
Neil Bush's personal take on the S&L crisis was $1
billion.
