Legal action sought on Iraq 'abuse'

A lawyer representing 40 families of Iraqis allegedly killed, tortured
or mistreated by British troops said yesterday that he was planning to
take Lord Goldsmith, the attorney general, to court.
Phil Shiner of Public Interest Lawyers compared his cases to the abuse
cases against soldiers being court-martialled in Germany.
