I never thought that I'd find enjoyment in a Democratic primary election in
Connecticut.
And it looks like ol' Joe is going to run as an independent in the general
election. What a hoser.

Let him run. The GOP will split their votes between him and the actual

Write, call, prevent it. Tell others. Joe, however a good guy he is,
needs to give way to change.
Afraid of change? Think: if you roll the dice, what can you lose? If
Lamont is a lemon there'll be a way around him. And the voters will
still have shown their demand for change. Try it. We will not explode.
Can you make it worse? No. Even more failure must lead to more change
and that's what we need. Burn the old rickety red barn and it's
infected parasites and put up a high efficiency, sterile one that
works for us. Energystar all around, free from old greasy ***** pushed

Shows Lieberman pulling Republicans *away from the Republican candidate.
It'll be interesting to see three way polls now that Lamont has won.
Because the early ones show the race being between Lamont and Lieberman
and the Republican was pretty much irrelevant.

I doubt THAT will happen. An Independent does
not have the pull a Democrat of a Rerpublican has
in the Senate. Bernie Sanders is an exception as
he is a reliable Democrat Ally.
But Lieberman's reliabilty IS the issue.
If he runs as an indy and screws Lamont, he's dead
in Congress.
People will realize that and see he is not viable.
Then switch to Lamont.
In the end its GOP vs Democrat and its bad
election cycle to be a member of the GOP or a toady for Iraq
war ***** from AWOL Bush.
In the end THAT was the issue that killed Lieberman

It depends on his GOP opponent.
If he as a drooler, extremist or neocon war head,
Lamont is a shoo-in. This is a year mad voters go
to the polls.
Many GOP voters seem to be thinking of going with
Lieberman to be a spoiler.
That may not work for obvious reasons. A GOP candidate in
a bad situation where Republicans are poison needs all
his voters on his side, not playing spoiler games.

He won't get it, not even after he hands his seat to the Republicans.
Miserable creep.
You know, though, I saw at least one poll of a possible three way race
with Lieberman as an independent and it didn't result in the Republican
getting the seat. The vote split between Lamont and Lieberman.
Which would be even funnier...
I doubt THAT will happen. An Independent does not have the pull a
Democrat of a Rerpublican has in the Senate. Bernie Sanders is an
exception as he is a reliable Democrat Ally.
Yet Quinnipac and Rassmusen (sp on both?) show the Republican getting 14%
at most in a three way race. In fact, one showed Lieberman pulling votes
from the Republican.
Be interesting to see what happens in November...

Lamont now has one month to take his case
to the voters. I suspect Lieberman's
indy attempt will suffer. It doesn't make sense.
He now has a chance to hit the GOP.
Bush, Iraq, tax breaks for the rich, stagnant wages,
outsourcing, high gas prices, health costs.
Its his to lose with stupid mistakes.

If you're talking about the GOP candidate, the GOP doesn't have one.
Rather, no one from the GOP's Connecticut A-list could be convinced to
pursue it, and now they're stuck with Alan Schlesinger, who the GOP -
from Governor Rell on done - has been strongly urging to step aside.
The fact that he got 13% in the last poll doesn't bode well for him.
And his card-counting, alias-using practices haven't exactly helped his
campaign. However, even if he should step aside, the few Republicans
with any statewide popularity in Connecticut are already committed to
other races.
Fortunately, this is one seat two Democrats can fight over right down
to November without the worry of throwing it to the GOP. If you think
the Republicans are going to take this seat, you apparently haven't
been paying attention.

He is refering here to Low Joe's past cracks that
the 1st Amendment does not guarantee a right to
freedom from religion.

A nice idea, but apparently not what JTEM meant.
Good riddance from an Atheist point of view.
Do you support making stuff up for the cause? Lieberman said nothing
like what JTEM claimed, but that does not both JTEM. He does not like
something else Lieberman said, so he thinks it is ok to lie about him.

Hush! If you explain it to him he'll just latch on to a
different excuse for defending Lieberman.
Better we string him along the one fantasy, keeping him

substitutes for real evidence.
