Object: O.T. Living temporally in another city cheaply.
I am a contractor and have to pay all of my own expenses. I may have
to live in another city Monday - Thursday for a few months. What is
the best way to find a cheap place to live.
Thanks

By living temporarily, what do you mean. I thought all liveng was temporary.

The argument that everything had a Creator because it's too complicated, is
about as reasonable as saying that it couldn't have been created since it's
too complicated.
It's about like saying that a super flea created a dog. Then
the good fleas go to a great dog in the sky, while the bad unbelieving fleas
are scratched off into a super rug to be forever hungry. If you think dogs
weren't created by a Great Flea then you are an atheist flea.

It's only half way through the first season here and I've got several
episodes on tape, ready to watch. I'd never heard of it before they started
advertising it.

Lot of people gripe about it because it gets pretty complex. The guy
behind it has commented he thinks of it rather like a novel. And that
shows I think. Which may be why I like. The novel is my favorite form.
(Now if I can just get some publishers to favor my form... wait... that
didn't come right did it?)
Honestly, I'm a little worried they won't be able to keep it up and this
season will just turn silly....

Fits? I couldn't get enough of it. In fact, I just recently watched the
entire 1st season all the way through (still had it on the Tivo).

I don't remember that. I do have gripes about the final episode Ron Moore
wrote (he's run off the new Battlestar Galactica now though). Moore can be
*so uneven. My biggest complaint is he can get *this *close to damn near
brilliant then slip back almost into cliches.
Overall, though, I think he's one of the better TV writers around (okay,
that's not saying *much but still...)

A buddy of mine contracts out of town now and then. He pays for a
membership in a health club. He goes to work, then goes to the club and
works out, then showers. He spends his evenings in Borders or Barnes &
Noble reading, then sleeps in his car.

Motels or hotels with weekly rates.
Some are ok but some aren't very nice.
Some mobile home parks are also ok and pretty inexpensive.
There may also be boarding houses in the paper at which meals are
furnished.
Some of them are very nice and have a more controlled environment
which really can matter in temporary digs.
