Hi,
Thinking about George Bush, I want to rewrite "Only in America" but
there are people far better at that than me, here.

This is delightfully sentimental, but substantially untrue.
No doubt will probably go down a treat in the USA.

Sure. THe Drifters originally recorded it, in the 60's. They were
black. It was not released because the record co. said that nobody
would believe it from a black group.
So, what's your take?

The only way you can really do this is to win a big lottery.
This happends monthly in the Britian and annually in Ireland.
Just the size of country, chances are much the same 3 or 4 million to 1.
And 'anywhere'. Don't bother to buy a lottery ticket if you are an
ilegal resident in the USA or the EU, I doubt you will see any real money!

Actually I think the US does not compare well at all here.
Most of your Presidents have come from the Plutocracy.
No lady presidents or Blacks.
Mrs. Thacher (if you remember was both a girly and her she was

the US Plutocrats are now just as inter bred as the European Royals.

Yea man, we all do drugs now. Though I know it is dependant
to some extent on the State, European laws also vary, but they
tend to be more liberal.
The more traditional iterpratation of this kind of phrase, "land of
opportunity" or "equal opportunities", is so differcult to assess.
Certainly literacy rates in the USA have always (since the 50's)
lagged behind, for instance. But I am sure there are other indicators
that show better.
