Lot of evacuees in Houston. Wonder if they'll have to evacuate the
evacuees?
I do read Galveston is already doing a voluntary...

Galveston remembers 1900. They are forecasting category 3, but how warm
is the Gulf? Katrina intensified awfully fast.

Maybe it's after Barbara. Could work out nicely for her, though.

Tonight's news said Austin is expecting 40,000 evacuees from Rita. I
can't imagine that many people coming up from Galveston, so it makes me
wonder just where they got that number.
If it gets really strong, it'll be a good excuse to invite my Houston
friends up for a few days; they live in one of the areas that was
drowned by Allison a few years ago.

This could be quite messy. I mean, Houston has a lot of our evacuees
that'll have to be evacuated? Yeesh.
Wonder where people will go? The Katrina folk have hotels and motels tied
up for *miles...

I read today that they would be evacuated to Arkansas.
