Pentagon reveals rejected chemical weapons
15 January 2005
THE Pentagon considered developing a host of non-lethal chemical
weapons that would disrupt discipline and morale among enemy troops,
newly declassified documents reveal.
Most bizarre among the plans was one for the development of an
"aphrodisiac" chemical weapon that would make enemy soldiers sexually
irresistible to each other. Provoking widespread homosexual behaviour
among troops would cause a "distasteful but completely non-lethal"
blow to morale, the proposal says.
Other ideas included chemical weapons that attract swarms of enraged
wasps or angry rats to troop positions, making them uninhabitable.
Another was to develop a chemical that caused "severe and lasting
halitosis", making it easy to identify guerrillas trying to blend in
with civilians. There was also the idea of making troops' skin
unbearably sensitive to sunlight.
The proposals, from the US Air Force Wright Laboratory in Dayton,
Ohio, date from 1994. The lab sought Pentagon funding for research
into what it called "harassing, annoying and 'bad guy'-identifying
chemicals". The plans have been posted online by the Sunshine Project,
an organisation that exposes research into chemical and biological
weapons.
Spokesman Edward Hammond says it was not known if the proposed $7.5
million, six-year research plan was ever pursued.

I have to go take a very, very, very cold shower now...

Why, do you not like the conclusion this idea makes you come
to?

He likes it a *lot*.

My point exactly.

Hence the need for a cold shower :)

Why. He should just like it some more.

Certainly it caught my, ahem, attention...

Almost poked your eye out, you say?

I wouldn't touch that remark with a ten foot pole...

You've got a ten foot pole?

You lucky boy...

Erm... lucky?

I suppose it would make it difficult to buy trousers. Although you
could hang a flag on the end of it to make it look pretty.

Ahem... LUCKY?????????

It'd be a talking point, you have to admit that.

I gotta admit, it'd be a... conversation... piece...

Hmmm.....sounds like a good tie-in would be a USN floating submarine
drydock in a remote forward location with a crew of 165. One of the
nicknames for all the ships there was 'love boats' and 'honeymoon
suites' as many of the crews married Scots lasses.
If that has any worth to you, let me know and I'll provide whatever
data you're looking for.

Hmmm.....sounds like a good tie-in would be a USN floating submarine
drydock in a remote forward location with a crew of 165. One of the
nicknames for all the ships there was 'love boats' and 'honeymoon suites'
as many of the crews married Scots lasses.

I'm not sure I understand that yet I'm oddly aroused.

If that has any worth to you, let me know and I'll provide whatever data
you're looking for.

If you have the data I'm looking for, wouldn't your wife be surprised?

Pentagon reveals rejected chemical weapons

THE Pentagon considered developing a host of non-lethal chemical
weapons that would disrupt discipline and morale among enemy troops,
newly declassified documents reveal.

Most bizarre among the plans was one for the development of an
"aphrodisiac" chemical weapon that would make enemy soldiers sexually
irresistible to each other. Provoking widespread homosexual behaviour
among troops would cause a "distasteful but completely non-lethal"
blow to morale, the proposal says.

Yeah, and in the 60's and 70's we spent buckets of money to see if we
could get psychics and such to help out during the "cold war".
As memory serves, those attempts were failures too.
