Maldives leader sacks 'reformers'

Maldives President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has sacked his attorney
general and a cabinet minister a day after beginning a record sixth
term in office.
Critics say the two were sacked for backing reformists attempting to
register a political party in the Maldives, the Associated Press
reports.
