Apparently, it was all Elizabeth Taylor's fault - she suggested that Jackson
should start dating twenty eight years olds and he got confused.

Being found not guilty is being acquitted. It is different from being found
factually innocent (which only a judge can do).

I don't know about other jurisdictions, but in Canada (and, I think, in
the US), a judge only finds "guilty" or "not guilty", like a jury.
This, combined with the presumption of innocence (ie. everyone is
innocent until proven guilty) means that a person who is found not
guilty is viewed by the law as innocent. You are correct that that
does not mean they are factually innocent.
I know this varies by jurisdiction. In Scotland, as I understand it, a
person can be found "guilty", "innocent" or "not proven."

He was acquitted, because he was not found guilty. He was not,
however, found innocent. I think that is the source of your confusion.

All of California is not LA. MJ's trial was in Santa Maria, three or
four hours north of LA, and about twenty minutes from my house.
Neverland is another ten minutes or so down the road from me. The
character and politics of the people here, as compared to LA, are as
different as Montanans are from Floridians.
I've never met MJ, but I know several people who have, including my
partner's children who spent a night at Neverland around ten years ago,
without incident.
Most people who know Michael say that he is a genuine, sincere, very
caring and empathic person. Although in his forties, he is still very
childlike and trusting. He has difficulty believing that anyone would
ever want to do him harm. Even now, when he has built a life isolated
from the general population just to be safe from them, he wants nothing
more than to reach out to others through music and philanthropy.
I'm glad he was acquitted. He's odd, and he's rich and he's
monumentally talented, but he's nowhere near the monster people seem to
think.

Ok, knowing nothing about the evidence, and not having followed the
trial, I think: not guilty of the molestation charges, but guilty of
serving alcohol to a minor.
I don't know whether he's guilty or not, but Im pretty sure there's
something misfiring in his head
Probably true. But fortunately that's not a crime - else at least two
thirds of the world 'd be locked up!
Ain't that the truth
Seriously. I don't know about him being a pedophile, but he's definitely a
freak. The first time the witchling saw him on the TV, her reaction was
"What the heck is that?!?" ;)
Which reminds me:

I have been working on this for some time, but alas with limited
success...

Personally, I've always been rather indifferent. Not a big fan of the
music, couldn't care less about his dancing ability and I think he's grown
up to be quite the strange bird.

It's my theory that his father had him casterated when he was young so
his voice wouldn't change. IMO that would explain a lot about his
behavior and his looks.

Yeah, I thought of that too, except that castrati are notoriously fat. The rest
of it fits though, expecially the weirdness with "his" kids.
Of course, if it were true, it should have come out in the trial. After all,
there was a lot of talk about whether the jury should get to see if his
genitalia matches the kid's description. You'd think someone would have noticed
parts that were missing.
