Object: OT: New Job
My work as a farmer ended when school started. Now, less than two
weeks later, I have another job. I just do not get paid for this one.
I am now a columnist for The Huntsville Times, my local
newspaper. I, myself, along with about a dozen other local high school
students write for the paper. Not exactly the most thrilling thing you
have ever seen, but you have to start somewhere, no?
I wonder if there is a word limit...

Excellent. Terry Pratchett started off like that. According to his
bio, he landed a job like yours and 15 minutes later saw his first
corpse, because in those days work experience was taken seriously.

Limits are generally expressed in terms of column inches.

For real? Goodness. Say, is there any statistical correlation between a male
reporter's average column inches and... ummm... oh, never mind...

Yup. Maybe he could be the flip side of Johnny Hart.
