As a minimal soldier, I really value your input. Should I make sure I
get all of the air bubbles out of the syringe before I inject?
Re spec 4 ly yours

Look at it this way. you only had to buy drinks for one promotion.
I crack myself up, you are really lucky to have met me.

the only reason to get the air bubbles out of an insulin syringe is because of
the relatively small total volume of the syringe, & the corresponding effect
on the drug dose due to the percentage of error caused by the bubble.
furthermore, since insulin is injected SQ, any air will either be absorbed or
w*rk it's way to the skin and escape.
the amount of air needed to harm someone by injection is actually quite large,
compared to what one sees on TV or in the movies.
one of the standard ways to see if one is actually having a drug reaction is
to "challenge" by readministering the drug after removing other, usually
environmental, potential causes of the perceived problem.
you should really consider talking to your doctor or pharmacist, rather than
asking people on Usenet.
redc1c4,
BTW: to me, giving you any medication is a waste of health care resources. %-)

I concur. Overdose on insulin is one of the common trips to the
emergency room.

I am being treated by the United States Veterans Administration.
Usenet is better.
