OT: Nym shift - Uncle Dollar Bill = Uncle Buck |
Just so nobody thinks I'm trying to sneak out of their kill files or
hide from their filter systems in any way, just thought I'd announce
this latest nym shift. I think the reason for the shift should be
obvious - a dollar bill is a buck, it's easier and shorter to type.

how he was going to track me down and blow me away. (I wish I'd saved the
message instead of indignantly deleting it with a "yeah right") I guess
when he realised he'd have to spend a thousand bucks on tickets to Australia
he gave up the ghost...not to mention I know of at least three other people
in this country with the same name and I've moved twice since then, he'd
have to go on one hell of a road trip. Hell, he might be arriving any day
now! The thing is, not all religious fanatics live in the USA!

Yep...even had a 19 year old fundamentalist email me telling me in
detail how he was going to track me down and blow me away. (I wish
I'd saved the message instead of indignantly deleting it with a "yeah
right") I guess when he realised he'd have to spend a thousand bucks
on tickets to Australia he gave up the ghost...not to mention I know
of at least three other people in this country with the same name and
I've moved twice since then, he'd have to go on one hell of a road
trip. Hell, he might be arriving any day now! The thing is, not all
religious fanatics live in the USA!

Had an ex-girlfriend do that. I wasn't anything special....she just used to
do that. When I was dating her she was obsessed with and stalking her last
boyfriend...then when we broke up she started stalking me while dating the
next guy. She stopped after about three months so I guess the next guy
broke up with her and she moved onto him! Now she's the one my friends
bring up to embarrass me.

I can speak for a few of us.
(1) We have private lives, and we don't want crosses burned on our front
lawns by Christ's repellent minions.
(2) We have jobs, and some of us have faced a lot of ***** in the past,
including being fired, for our beliefs by Christ's repellent minions.
(3) We have children who are tormented by Christ's repellent minions,
their Christian schoolmates, for their beliefs.
We choose to avoid these problems in this forum, and socialize without
that cloud hanging over our heads.
