Accompanied by fireworks and a light show, the floodlit procession of
royal barges along the Chao Phraya river was stunning. The photograph
of the leaders, some looking less than comfortable, in their handmade
silk shirts was amusing. The free food in the media centre was voted
by old timers as the best ever.
