OT: Opinions Please |
http://home.comcast.net/~vickman/gods.htm
I'm setting up a motorcycle adventure webpage, and got a little carried
away tonight. I've got a link to this page buried in one of the ride
descriptions. How many bikers do you think I'll ***** off?
This is just a free Comcast homepage, no ads, no personal gain for me based
on hits. Hell, I don't even have a counter yet.

I don't know how many bikers you'll ***** off, but I'll say this: it's good
to see a god that isn't wearing a dress.

I don't see that it's too offensive. Most bikers have a sense of
humor and aren't too quick to be intolerant. At least in my limited
experience.

Give me Loki, a much smarter god than Thor, Hel give me Mercury, probably a
much better choice for someone riding around on a motorcycle. (He, and his
Greek incarnation - whose name escapes me at the moment, damnit - are already
the gods of thieves, pawnbrokers, couriers, and other assorted members of the
lower classes. Most of we bikers would feel right at home with Him as our
god.)

Hey, I'm not low class, just because I'm a biker! I have four wheels as
transportation - they just happen to be on two bikes. No, no low class
gods for bikers. We're in another class altogether!

I dig the knee guards, but I don't associate riding with aggression.
I am more of a Buddhist while riding.

I've known more than one biker who worshipped the Aesir (or at least been
involved in an Asetru group.) You will probably ***** off fewer than you seem to
be expecting ;-P

If it is the act of a traitor to speak out against the
unConstitional acts of my government, to excercise my
rights guaranteed by that Constitution -- the right to
publish my opinions and speak my thoughts, the right

And God grant us many, many more traitors, for we are in
dire need of them.
