I promised Robyn in another thread that I would get this info to her.
Posted here to make sure she gets it :-) The product is Smokey Blue from
the Rogue Creamery in Central Point, Oregon.

You can order online. Unfortunately, they offer it only by the whole
wheel (which is, I think, 5#) and half wheel, which is a bit pricey. And
while they do have several sampler packs, none of them include the
Smokey Blue. You could try calling them and asking about a substitution
in one of the samplers, or you could get a few friends and buy some
together.

Ooooh, thanks. My husband's eyes lit up when I told him about it :)

I'm not Robyn but it's interesting you posted this since I've recently
started making my own cheeses (let's avoid the obvious puns here, shall
we?) using supplies and instructions from Leener's:
http://www.leeners.com/cheese.html
So far I've made Colby, Gouda, Monterey Jack, Cheddar, a Stilton and,
yesterday, Romano. I haven't actually eaten any of them yet because
most cheeses must age a couple of months before they're ready (the
Romano won't be ready for about a year). I think the first 1 lb. round
of Colby will be ready in a week or two.
I've had absolutely no luck with my Mozzarella. It turns into a kind of
gritty cream cheese. Can't figure out why.
Also, this is not a hobby that will save you money. So far, I've spent
around $200 on supplies, including a small refrigerator to age the
cheese, and made only about 8 pounds of cheese. It's kind of fun and
relaxing, though. :)
Here's some other info in case some of you want to try it yourself:

Mozzarella with grit? Welllll....maybe you can use it some sort of
buffing paste?

I think the grit is undissolved lipase powder and/or cheese salt, which
is only added for flavor and doesn't affect the way the curds set.
