This pisses me off beyond anything. My peers are just plain fucking
apathetic morons! These people will soon grow to be your age! Think
about it.

" Flag burning as a means of protest would be snuffed out and
skeptical news coverage would be curtailed if high schoolers ruled the
world, a new nationwide study indicates.
The study, released yesterday and commissioned by a journalism
advocacy group, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, set out to
gauge high school attitudes toward the First Amendment, which
guarantees freedom of speech, press, assembly and religion to all
Americans."

Or just pathetic - no science in their education and no ability to
think for themselves.

In a country where instant gratification and easy answers have become
the norm, it's not surprising to see some people salute the bible and
pray to the flag.

Well heck, at least they've finally acknowledged that the proper way to dispose
of a U.S. flag is to burn it with reverence. I was waiting for that one to dawn
on the morons.

If it's any consolation, kids your age are always pretty short sighted
about everything - especially the things that are really important.

I don't buy it. Just about everyone I meet from the ages of 16-22 are big
supporters of free speech and fearful of the current regime in Washington.

You don't meet many kids raised in isolated reactionary (like from the
19th century) towns?

I live in a small, isolated, reactionist, racist, homophobic, and
superstitious town and most kids I meet seem to be pretty liberal, except
for the racism and homophobia. It's a weird town and I need to get away
from it.

Must be that infernal tool of Satan and Al Gore, the internet.

Too bad we can't somehow eliminate bigotry.

Oh, believe me, I do. People my age are really this ignorant and
uncaring. I see it far too often than I should.
