OT: The Terminator Is My State's Governor! |
I cannot believe California has as governor an Austrian body builder
who cannot even pronounce the name of the state correctly!! It's so
bizarre it doesn't seem real.
The news polled voters and found out that it was mainly white,
middle-aged men who voted for the idiot. What were they thinking?
Well, I am NOT a white, middle-aged male, and I did NOT vote for
Arnold. All I can say to the people who voted for him is if you
thought we had problems with Gray Davis in power, you ain't seen
nothin' yet now that we have the Terminator.
This is so depressing.

In a Democracy one doesn't get the government one wants, one gets the
government they deserve. Noone deserves to be governed by Davis. Arnold's
a mysoginist pig with nothing but a body-building and movie resume. In
short, he's infinitely more qualified to lead the state than Gray!

I understand that his first act will be to change all phone numbers to
555-XXXX and use area codes to fix the problem.

Just be glad that those who wrote the constitution decided to
discriminate between citizens born in USA and citizens from a foreign
country, so he can not become president anyway.

I am surprised.
Since when are white middle aged men a majority:)
I am one, and also an Schwarzenegger fan.
But I sure as hell wouldn't vote for him.
Not because he mispronounces words of course,
but because he has shown no capablities towards being a governor whatsoever.
Should one be a mayor before being a governor?!?!
As far as I now his is only qualified to work in a kindergarten:)
Think for yourself

i agree with the implication that california is full of idiots for
replacing a slime bag with another. what a waste.
but how can you sit there and say that the governator will be worse
than the one going out and maintain some dignity???

I lived in California from 1989 to 2001, and don't see how Davis could
be blamed for Enron and other energy companies gouging utility
consumers. Or the collapse of the dotcom bubble. Both of which were
disastrous for the Californian economy.
According to Greg Palast and others, Schwarzenegger and others met
with Lay, and the problem was Bustamonte's lawsuit against Enron for 9
billion dollars. So they needed a governor who would forgive the Enron
before the lawsuit got anywhere.

Oh, so Arnold is going to quietly sweep the whole Enron mess under the
rug? Is that what you are saying?

I can.
Davis was Lt. Governor while the plot was hatched and implemented. Maybe
he couldn't have done much then but he was *there.
Once he took office, did he raise the alarm? Did he try to get something
done? Or did he sit on his hands until the state slammed into a brick wall?
And THEN started signing secret contracts that obligate the state to
unknown amounts for unknown periods of time for unknown purchases.
He wasn't the root cause but he sure was so busy collecting campaign
contribution checks he didn't have time to do anything about the looming
disaster...

So if your grandparents were in Nazi Germany, that makes them
responsible for the killing of the Jews...because they were THERE?
Your brand of guilt by association makes everyone who witnesses a
crime a criminal.

And we have a president who killed thousands of Iraqi troops with
absolutely no motivation except the suspicion that there MIGHT be
threatening nuclear activity. He gambled and he lost his bet, and
Iraqi people died as a result. Senseless killing of innocent people
while lying to the American people in this way is far more worthy of
re-call. But we forgive Bush for his senseless murders.
My point is that ALL politicians do stupid things and we can point the
finger at every single one of them for doing things that are much,
much worse than what Gray Davis MAY have done.
It's idiotic to get rid of Gray Davis and replace him with an Austrian
body builder who can't even pronounce California correctly. And this
is what the idiots who voted to get rid of Gray Davis did: Jumped out
of the pan and into the fire.
California has set a horrible precident and we will all live to regret
it.
I am ashamed that the governor of my state is an Austrian body
-builder turned actor-- not even a good, respectable actor, but a
dumb-***** super hero who can say little more than "I'll be back." He
gropes women and likes the Nazis. What kind of leader, or person,
for that matter, is THAT?
