You won't do too bad if you stick with Germany from here on in.

I'm thinking Brazil won't do bad either. They scored four yesterday.

I'll be cheering them on, if they outlast England. Which, given our striker
problems, they just might.
Football quiz question: You're picking the England squad for the World Cup.
Your two main strikers, Owen and Rooney, are both coming back from injury
and could easily break down again. Your third striker, Peter Crouch, is
basically a statue, albeit a very tall one. You need backup. For your
fourth striker, do you pick:
a) Jermaine Defoe - sharp as a tack, but who hasn't had a real chance to
prove himself at international level?
or
b) Theo Walcott - a seveteen year old kid who hasn't even played a
top-flight club game?

I'd go with Defoe, but looking at the BBC page, it doesn't look like
Eriksson played either.
Congrats on the win!

Yeah, the point was that Eriksson left Defoe at home, prefering a complete
neophyte instead. Bizarre!
Congrats on the win!
Thanks! Got to improve, though. I agree with the BBC commentator, who
thought we were quite good when we were patiently passing the ball around
midfield trying to work an opening, but then somebody would spoil it by
hoofing the ball aimlessly upfield, or by going for the Hollywood pass and
losing the ball.
Anyway, Portugal next, if they've got any players left. What an apalling
ref *they* had!
