OT: Trailer Park Boys |
I guess this is aimed at Americans, since I don't think it's shown
anywhere else outside of Canada.
Have any of you seen this show? I think it's on HBO now in the US, but
in my humble opinion I think it's the funniest show on TV right now,
and they're coming out with a movie this summer. There's even an
episode where a couple of Bible Thumpers visit the Trailer Park and the
whole show would be generally offensive to Christians (I guess), but
the episode I saw last night with Conkie the Puppet had me crying with
laughter. Just wondering if any non-Canadians have seen/heard of this
show and what they might think.

It was on BBC America - I think it was paid for by one of the British
channels. So it might have had a run there too.
Unfortunately, I thought it was rubbish.

Do yourself a favour...go onto Bittorrent and download the first three
seasons (or buy the DVD's, of course) - you'll literally create a black
hole from the laughter. Even the pilot episode had me crying. Honestly,
it's one of the funniest shows around, and by far the funniest to come
out of Canada in a long time.

Thanks! Reruns are on every night on Showcase, but I don't think I've
seen them all.
