New 'Bushism' Born at Bill Signing
WASHINGTON - President Bush offered up a new entry for his catalog of
"Bushisms" on Thursday, declaring that his administration will "never
stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people."
Bush misspoke as he delivered a speech at the signing ceremony for a
$417 billion defense spending bill.
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," Bush said.
"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our
people, and neither do we."
No one in Bush's audience of military brass or Pentagon chiefs reacted.

I'm inclined to think they were simply unsurprised. Or they weren't bothering to
listen to him (look at the trouble that erupted when they did.)

What's REALLY interesting, is trying to guess what was actually on the
paper/teleprompter.

Considering that this is exactly what appears on the whitehouse.gov website, is
it very possible that this IS what was on the teleprompter.

Paragraph is fourth from the bottom.
Third, this bill meets our commitment to America's Armed Forces by preparing
them to meet the threats of tomorrow. Our enemies are innovative and
resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our
country and our people, and neither do we. We must never stop thinking about
how best to defend our country when we all must always be forward-thinking.
