OT: Undereducated Americans Pick Greatest American |
We all know from the last election how ignorant Americans are of current
events, we know from Jay Leno's Street Walking how ignorant even American
college grads are about almost everything. Now with the tv show Greatest
American we see further proof that Americans are terribly undereducated, and
have little knowledge of their own history and especially of their own
legacy in science, literature, art, philosophy, and politics.
And now Ronald Reagan is chosen as the greatest American. How could a
latter-day dillettante like Reagan beat out Ben Franklin, much less George
Washington? It's just sad.

There are two kinds of people in the world, those who put people into
categories, and those who don't.

American Ignoramus, had to choose one of their own. It is but just and
right.
The candidate elected man cannot be less inteligent than his electors.
Neither he can be much more intelligent, for they would not understand
the candidate.
