U.S. to Free 'Enemy Combatant,' Bowing to Supreme Court Ruling
This was no "bowing to supreme court ruling"
The Supreme Court required Ashcroft to provide Hamdi with a laywer and
a hearing.
The Supreme Court did NOT authorize Ashcroft strip Hamdi of his US
citizenship and forcibly exile him to another country.
