OT: USA is NOT a Christian nation, rather, it's one that allows all faiths |
That's why the Constitution leaves religion up to the individual's
private and free selection.
Those who insist that Christianity should become the USA standard are
ruining it for all faiths. They are also ruining it for atheists. Why
can't they spend their time worshipping their way and stop trying to
redesign America?

Yeah. HEH!! Their own allegiance to their religion has denied them a
full lifestyle, but they're just as antsy as anyone, and, unable to
participate in a full life, they want to take ours away from us by
making us obey their codswallop.

Because many of them cannot live up to the standards of their
religion, so they try to force it upon others and hope that their
creator will look down on them, judge them, and call it even.

The actions of the disgraceful Clinton and Bush administrations
make it possible for me to say without shame that I deeply regret
the day I put the uniform of my country. The freedoms that I was
willing to protect with my life are being lost. The America of
our founders is dead. All we are waiting for now is rigor mortis.

Because when you have the One True Faith, it is your responsibility to
make sure everybody lives by its tenets, whether they share it or not.
They might not quite phrase it that way, but it's not too hard to read
between the lines. You ask them why they oppose homosexual marriage,
given that there is no reason to think that it would affect their own
marriages, and they're liable to say something like "The Bible says
homosexuality is a sin!".
Their inability to grasp that moral relativism is a fact, not some
godless philosophy (though of course, it's not too often you hear them
promoting slavery anymore -- funny that), means that their
interpretation of the Bible is not only the correct moral code for
them, it's the correct moral code for everybody else, and it's the
correct moral code for everybody in the future. This is why you see
such abominations as trying to codify single laws into the Constitution
and reducing the power of the Supreme Court (since it by nature and
design reinterprets everything in the context of the present).

Certainly.
Freedom means not shoving others, and too many religionists know
nothing but how to shove. They are robots of their religious superiors
who keep them on the same course and coerce them to stay the course
with blinders on so as not to be distracted by logic. They're
hypnotized into self guilt then sold the eternal (wow) prescription
to ameliorate, but not solve, the implanted problem. Either religion
learned that from the Mafia or the Mafia learned it from religion. You
need fire insurance or else you *will have a fire.
No wonder why the US government wants to affiliate with religion and
religion wants to affiliate with the US government.

Worshipping their way requires the redesign of the former USA.

Why
can't they spend their time worshipping their way and stop trying to
redesign America?
Because *horror of horrors* they would then have to accept people among them
who are... gasp!... different!

OOH Red alert, Either conform or you're abetting the terrorists!
Either for me or against. No in between. That attitude is usually
found in seedy, violent bars where stupid people breed. Those who' se
mental development was arrested in junior high school, and who carried
their gang mentality to high school.
Stupid people outbreed smart people.
