OT: Well, I guess I should take my leave. |
It's with a heavy heart that I post this, but it had to be done
sooner or later.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to just unsubscribe from a.a for a
number of reasons. Some of you may have noticed that I've been
posting a lot less frequently, and it's for a number of reasons.
For starters, I'm insanely busy. I have a job now that is keeping
me very occupied, and it's something that I love doing. In fact,
you may see what we're doing on tech news web sites sometime
soon.
I've also been kept busy with a lot of music-related things as
well, because it seems as the days go on, that moves even further
and further into something incredibly fruitful.
Also, I've felt a lot less comfortable here in a.a lately,
because I haven't been as gung-ho about atheism as I once was.
Sure, I'm still as atheist as you can get, but I've become a lot
less hostile about it and more "live and let live," which means
that it's not exactly something that I feel like I should be
crusading for anymore. Of course, if an issue arises that is
actually important, it'll have my full support; but dealing with
fundies blathering their usual ***** isn't for me, anymore.
Of course, that last point is the *least* viable reason for why I
need to leave a.a, at least for a while. The number one reasons
are that I don't have the time to keep up with the group anymore,
as I'm sure plenty of other people understand.
If anybody still wants to get a hold of me for any reason, I'd
love it. My email address is my first name at jeremiads.com. Hey,
maybe the newsgroup sniffers won't pick up on that. ;)
I'll stay subscribed for a little bit to see if anyone responds
to this post, but after that, I'll be gone. I'll miss all of you,
unless I get in touch with you. :)

We all have our reasons. I've not posted much recently due to work
commitments.
For starters, I'm insanely busy. I have a job now that is keeping
me very occupied, and it's something that I love doing.
Then, you are very lucky! Stick at it. There's nothing worse than a *****

Also, I've felt a lot less comfortable here in a.a lately,

As you know, being gung-ho is not a central tenet of atheism (but the
occasional fundie roast is fun!)

number of reasons.
Well, go get 'em!
Have a blast of a life!

Lo, many moons past, on Sun, 05 Oct 2003 17:28:39 -0500, a stranger
called by some Jeremy Martin <mrbungle@pattonisgod.com> came forth
and told this tale in alt.atheism
It's with a heavy heart that I post this, but it had to be done
sooner or later.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to just unsubscribe from a.a for a
number of reasons.
Hey, Usenet is not life. Follow your bliss and do what makes you
happy and makes those you love happy. Try to make one stranger smile
today.
Good luck, and don't be afraid to drop in and say hi once in while!

Hey, having a life is the best reason there is for leaving usenet

Really happy to hear things are looking good for you, Jeremy. Hope
they keep going the same way.
