mailbox in case they're important. However, the majority of them seem to be
this kind of garbage. Is this from a bot? What's its purpose?

Most of the time, I do that as well...but I can open some of them, since I've

Heh... Kingaroy is just 50km (30 miles) from here. Perhaps it's an
Australian spam bot. If you can trace it, we have anti-spam laws in

Looks like the random text spammers (and others) use to get around spam
filters.
There probably was (or is) an attachment with the spam (virus, whatever).
The company's mail system, however, may have stripped the attachment away,
leaving just the fake text.
