Picture dates from the 50s or the 60s. I wonder if this was commissioned by
the military? If so, it's definitely a First Amendment violation.

A lot of atheists who, unlike you, actually served, beg

I was an atheist in a foxhole. And I would have capped a christian
praying instead of shooting. You see, Puke, I'm not going to die for a
worthless coward begging for divine intervention.
The difference is, a man stands at that moment and a christian
falls to his knees and begs, leaving his comrades to fend for
themselves. That dog don't hunt.
If my opinion of you was low, it's beyond contempt now. How dare
you dishonor the atheist men that died on the field of battle. You
weren't there. My friend Charlie (an atheist and door gunner) went out
one morning and his chopper was hit by a rocket.
So ***** you! You think we don't have feelings? Like having someone
you love is ***** to US because we're atheists? I miss him you
*****. I always will. He was my friend. Scum like you trivialize us
like we don't count. Like we're not proper like you.
You make me sick to my stomach.

He says that he "avoided" Vietnam by making military equipment. Sounds
like a good enough excuse as any to wuss out of the war. But, at least
he didn't wuss out the way so many Iraq war advocates have done:
Rush Limbaugh: Sore on his rear
***** Cheney: "Had other priorities... five times."
George W. Bush: "Protecting Houston from the communists... or perhaps not."
Bill O'Reilly: Skipped off to London.
Don Rumsfeld: Wussed out in Princeton.
Joe Scarborough: Nowhere to be found in Desert Storm.
Michael Savage: In Vietnam? Hah!
Karl Rove: Boy, we could've used his brain in Vietnam.
Paul Wolfowitz: Aw, pity that he was getting his BA at Cornell...
Sean Hannity: Boy, I wish he would've done his "hard-hitting" reporting
as a soldier in Desert Storm...
I've got loads more. In fact, the majority of the Bush Adminstration
plus the "talking heads" have never put on a uniform to fight in foreign
lands. And now they advocate war? Interesting.

I sure as hell didn't see him protecting us from anything, much less the

More like sad, to me...but they're that many more reasons for me to appreciate
having in-laws up in South Dakota. When the whole charade finally falls
apart, I can at least be somewhere the loons in Washington won't bother with,
because there's no money in empty states.

Wrong, No-Go! I served for over a decade and was an atheist every
minute of it. Decorated combat veteran, too!
You, of course, chickened out. Tell me Earl, when your friends came

Based on the uniforms and the style of the chart, I'd say early 1960s.
And all the lesson seems to be is what you are required to give as a
POW. They could have been trying to make a humorous comaprison to a
medieval knight who only had to know his name and station to a modern
airman (since that's USAF rank) is required to give.

I would tend to agree, although they might have used a better example,
say a knight from the 100 years war.
