LOL! My husband just said "Yet another life saved by beer". Oh my :)
Just ask any man and he'll tell you that beer has saved his life at
least once.
When I was 19, I was spending some time in the bar with a group of
friends, one of which brought a 'date' with him. She wasn't the best
looking woman around by any means, although I was already a little
inebriated by the time they got there. She kept staring at me as if she
knew me from somewhere, but I could not for the life of me remember if I
had ever met her before so I ignored her. A tactic well used by most
men. Well, as the night went on and I consumed beer after beer, it
became obvious to me she was looking at me not because she knew me from
before but that she wanted to 'know' me now.
At the time I was in between girlfriends so I had no worries on that
front and the more I drank the better she looked...silly me. After a
while my friend, her date, went outside and passed out in his car, so
this girl scooped me up and took me home. After a couple of hours
'discussing' things she left and I suppose went home, I being the pig I
am just said 'bye' and promptly fell asleep.
About 3 days later another friend of mine showed up with this same girl
on his arm. I took one look at her. My first thought was, 'thank god I
was drunk the other night or I would have to kill myself'. That day beer
saved my life. Thank god for Molson Canadian.

He had sixty bottles of beer in his car within reach? Now,
that is weird. Was he on the way to a party? But, to answer
your question, he had to be able to aim and not enough snow
was within reach for him to drink, probably. You can laugh now. ;-)

"Atheism is the world of reality, it is reason, it is freedom. Atheism is human
concern, and intellectual honesty to a degree that the religious mind cannot
begin to understand. And yet it is more than this. Atheism is not an old
religion, it is not a new and coming religion, in fact it is not, and never has
been, a religion at all. The definition of Atheism is magnificent in its
simplicity: Atheism is merely the bed-rock of sanity in a world of madness."
