They'll eat anything....frogs, snails, slugs, newts, grass, bugs,
flower petals...very inquisitive creatures Ducks !
An odd thing I saw today....
Two Blackbird Chicks...(Well a few months old now!) were bouncing about
on a rocky part of the garden...they were bashing snails on the stones
to break their shells and then eating them !!!! Never seen that before,
and everytime I try to get them on video...they fly away..
Gonna have to do a 'hidden camera' set-up me-thinks !!! hehe !

Oh, he's not a wild duck?
No...the neighbours keep them for eggs, which are delicious !
They have a bunch of Chickens too,
4 of which were killed in the fox incident....
Unbelivable eggs from the chickens....the yellowest yolks I've ever seen !

Oh my, I had no idea. The house where I grew up had a pond in the backyard and
we often had ducks. However, I don't recall seeing them eat any of that stuff
(though I'm sure they did).
An odd thing I saw today....

Sounds like a plan. I wish I had a camera when I caught a water snake trying to
drag a large carp out of my parents' pond. I don't know what it was thinking.
I doubt it could have swallowed it ;)

Oooooookay.
Speaking only for myself, if I started growing a beard when I'm in my 60s (or
now, for that matter), I'd be getting it removed A.S.A.P.

And that would be a matter of taste. Some people (me included) prefer
to not mess with themselves any more than necessary. I wear my beard
long both because I am lazy (and that is easy) and out of respect for
my ancestors from whom I inherited the genes for it. I respect
similar choices by others. Of course it is always easier to respect
people who are similar to myself. ;)

Every few months, I whack a few inches off mine, when it starts
getting caught in my motorcycle jacket zipper. About twice as often I
have to trim my mustache because I am chewing on it. My morning
ritual consists of running a comb through my hair and pulling my beard
a bit to straighten it from whichever way it has gotten bent during
the night.

No it wasn't, it was quite horrid...
How about a quick run-down on what happened, some of us don't DO wmv
files.
Pity, because WMV compresses to a very small file size !
If it were Quicktime I would have checked it out, but so far I have never
figured out how to do those winders movie files.
Have you tried using Jet Audio ?
It will play WMV and real-player files....
For free at...
http://www.jetaudio.com/
You can also host your own radio station with it...which can be fun..

On a Mac?
(And why would I want to host a radio station? I didn't even speak on the
little .05 watt radio station one of my roomies built back in ETA school,
with a range of maybe 40 feet. I got all that out of my system when I gave up
on CB radios.)

OK, I finally saw the movie, downloaded Winders Media Player for Mac, oddly
enough it seems to work pretty well, so far it plays nice with the rest of my
system getting out of sight and quitting once the window is closed.
Yes, the frog did not have a pleasant death, but it is pretty much how
